Mosquito Control Services

Mosquito

Mosquitoes comprise a group of about 3,500 species of small insects that fly. They can act as vectors for many disease-causing viruses and parasites.

ATC Treatment

ATC has developed the most advanced mosquito control program designed around the biology and breeding habits of the mosquito.  ATC will perform a site inspection to your property, identifying conducive conditions, and develop a treatment strategy.  Our team will perform proactive treatments to your property to include: the outside of your home, lawn, under your deck, wood line, bushes, trees, play areas, and other target areas of concern. Treatments will be performed every 3-weeks. You will be notified by email days prior to treatment. We only use nothing but the highest quality materials. ATC applies an adulticide, growth regulated, and larvicides. A gas-powered backpack fogging unit is used to treat the entire property. Larvicide is placed in standing water.

From April to the end of October, ATC performs this specialized service.  Please contact us for more information and a free estimate.  This treatment is very effective in the reduction and elimination of mosquitoes. This treatment does not provide 100% control or prevent mosquito bites or any of the transmitted viruses.

Latin Name: Culicidae

Order Name: Diptera

Appearance

Mosquitoes have a slender elongated body, a pair of wings, one pair of halteres, three pairs of long fragile hair-like legs, and extended tube-like mouthparts. Mosquitos mostly feed on blood.

Life cycle

The mosquito’s life cycle starts from an egg, larva, pupa, and then the adult stages. The females lay eggs on the water surface. It hatches into larvae that live in the water and feed on aquatic algae and organic materials. The pupa stage is a resting, non-feeding stage of development. Meanwhile, the adult mosquito emerges from the mature pupa as it floats at the water surface. Each of the stages typically lasts 5 to 14 days, depending on the species and the ambient temperature, but there are important exceptions.

Danger

Female mosquito bites consume blood in order to lay eggs. They transmit some extremely harmful and serious diseases, such as Malaria, Yellow Fever, Dengue, Zika Fever, Filariasis, and Encephalitis
